On 25 February 2026, I had the pleasure of giving a lecture titled Parasites in wildlife: implications for conservation at Amphitheatre Popoviciu, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Bucharest, Romania, as part of a WESA event. The meeting brought together students from different years, which made the discussion especially dynamic and rewarding.

On 29 September, our team took part in Beyond Science: Stories from the Unseen Africa, an event organized for Transylvania Executive Hub at DoubleTree by Hilton in Cluj-Napoca. The evening brought together science, field experience, photography, and personal reflection in a format designed to encourage open dialogue with the audience.

Our team took part in Let's Talk Ticks. A conference beyond the limits of disciplines and academia, held at Ca' Foscari University of Venice on 2 September 2025. The contribution was a joint presentation entitled Taxonomical changes in ticks: practical relevance in human and veterinary health, delivered together with David Modrý.

At the 30th Conference of the World Association for the Advancement of Veterinary Parasitology (WAAVP), held in Curitiba, Brazil (August 17–21, 2025), Prof. Andrei Daniel Mihalca presented an oral communication in the Companion Animal Parasitology session.

In February 2025, Prof. Andrei Daniel Mihalca was invited by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to serve as an expert trainer at the Regional Training Course on the Capture, Sorting, Detection and Differentiation of the Most Important Vectors for Vector-Borne Diseases in Hanoi, Vietnam.
