Invited lecture on disease surveillance in wildlife

Parasitology Consultancy Group contributed an invited lecture focused on disease surveillance in free-ranging wildlife, addressing both the conceptual framework and the practical limitations of epidemiological investigations under field conditions. The presentation covered key distinctions between infection and disease, major epidemiological concepts such as prevalence, incidence, reservoir hosts, spill-over and spill-back, and the particular difficulties of interpreting health-related data in wild animal populations.
