Invited Lecture at the 15th Boehringer-Ingelheim Parasitology & Vector-Borne Disease Symposium in Dubai

In March 2025, Prof. Andrei Daniel Mihalca gave a lecture at the 15th Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Parasitology and Vector-Borne Disease Symposium in Dubai, a scientific meeting focused on parasitic and vector-borne diseases of companion animals.

His presentation, "Taxonomical changes in ticks: practical relevance for clinicians and pharmaceutical companies", explored how updates in tick taxonomy can influence diagnostic approaches, epidemiological data, and the development of veterinary products.

The symposium offered an opportunity to exchange knowledge and experience with colleagues from academia and industry working on similar topics.
