Interview: Andrei Mihalca, PCG founder & director, featured by Radio România Internațional

In March 2026, Andrei Mihalca, our founder & director, was featured by Radio România Internațional in its Invitați la RRI series. The piece presented him as a veterinarian, researcher, writer, and nature photographer, highlighting the breadth of his professional and creative work.
According to the feature, Andrei Mihalca brings more than two decades of field experience in sub-Saharan Africa and has been involved in field research, including the description of species new to science. The article also noted his parallel activity as a nature photographer and writer, underlining the interdisciplinary profile that connects veterinary medicine, research, fieldwork, and visual storytelling.
The Radio România Internațional presentation also referred to his book Purici, nomazi și supă de șobolani. Povești din Africa ecuatorială, published by Humanitas. We are glad to see this kind of public recognition, because it brings into a wider cultural space the links between science, exploration, writing, and photography that define much of his work.
